I am a big fan of Marvel and the Avengers and have seen every movie leading up to Endgame as well as reading the comics and watching the old movies when they were released back in the 90s and early 2000s and in the last 10 years the MCU has created an amazing cinematic world and Endgame is the culmination of all those storys combined for one final showdown between the Avengers and Thanos.
Sounds great on paper but that's not how the movie plays out instead of having what's left of the Avengers humanity and all life in the galaxy take a final stand against Thanos and avenge the fallen ultimately uniting a galaxy who have lost everything but overcome incredible loss and a powerful foe to accept what happened and build a new and better world in the name of the lost and in the name of unity.
Instead we get Thanos being killed in the first 10 minutes of the movie after he has destroyed the Infinity stones destroying any chance at undoing the damage 5 years pass and the Avengers get together once again to go back in time take the Infinity stones from different points in time in an attempt to snap there fingers and bring back everyone killed by Thanos my issue with this storyline is it makes all the previous movies fights story and character development absolutely pointless if your just gunna erase all the consequences of the previous movies and losing the fight against Thanos in favour of time travel and happy endings that's an insult to anyone who has followed the MCU for the last ten years just to get a tagged on ending so Disney and Marvel can keep making sequels.
The movie looks visually amazing with the same great acting from all involved but with a phoned in storyline a full hour and a half of nothing but talking and only one good fight scene in the entire movie this 3 hour movie is only worth watching if you have watched all the other movies in the MCU and you wanna see how it all ends and even then don't get your hopes up for something grand in scale because you will be let down.
