This film is probably the worst film I've ever seen. I've always screened new films by IMDb ratings because on average IMDb ratings are pretty close to what I think of the film (off by. 2 stars at worst.
This was the first time in dozens of films where the ratings are so far off. A rating of ~8 on IMDb is relatively rare and indicates a widely popular film. This film was rated 8 and was nowhere near good - I gave this a 1, which I've never done for a film.
Whoever sees this as a 7+ film needs to have their head examined. What a waste of time.
We tried to give the film some time - bearing through the first 30 minutes before finally giving up altogether. There was not a funny part in 30 minutes.

But the premise of the film did not catch me at all and I was not turned on by its sense of style or humour.
To me that movie was dragging on with the same style of autonomous humour, filled to the brim with cheap pop-culture/video game references in a weird manner, considering the ambitious scope of the plot.
I can recommend it for easy watching as this is a film which will not challenge your intellect nor your feelings. Then again, it never attempted to in the first place.

Ugh Michael is so good at this kind of character. Scott pilgrim vs. the world ruined an entire generation of women. The shot of Scott ripping through the Empire State Building backdrop to reveal the CN Tower, alluding to all the times Toronto is used as a stand-in for NYC in movies, is BRILLIANT. Love this, Most young musicians rely too heavily upon the Giant Electric Sasquatch pedal, This group knows that it's best in small bursts. You had a sexy phase? This movie is pure gold. While lacking in depth of plot, this is such a unique and entertaining film. It has eye-popping visuals along with a live action anime feel that is unlike anything I've seen in a movie before. Worth watching for the humour and stylistic vision that is out of this world.

It was kinda like a street fighter-esque movie. It gave me the cheap, low production movie vibes with bad CGI but somehow manages to pull it off quite well. I had a multitude of cheap laughs. The many great actors and actresses such as Chris Evans and Anna Kendrick doesn't hurt either.
However, I felt that this film could have delved more into the lessons that Scott learnt from his many girlfriends. Especially on the part where he realises that he was an arse and that he was the 'bad one' in many of his relationships.
