It's not masterpiece like some of the X-Men films, but still an entertaining film combining elements of horror and superhero themes. I like the film makes you feel lock up with the characters. The effects are fun, so are the jump scare moments. Also a joy on how the mystery slowly starts to reveal itself along the way.
All the actors are pretty good, but it's Ana Taylor Joy that steals movie, has she chews up every scene she's in. I liked the way it let's the audience know it's in the X-Men universe, but standing on it's own at the same time. Still a an amusing way to spend 98 minutes.

I was anxious to see this movie, however I was disappointed and bored, I ended up walking out of the theatre. I also don't appreciate movies that carry hidden agendas, soooo she's basically a Christian who was treated horribly by a Church Leader and now struggles with falling for girls. WHY.

It's listed as fantasy/horror and neither genre delivers what it promises. Beyond that disappointment, the dialogue is stale and cringe. The performances are forced and rushed. The plot is as predictable as can be. And finally, the pace is about as slow as the release for this film. Whatever redeeming qualities this film had (and I realize there were a few) it's still not enough to drag it out of the dirt and revive what was already dead before it even hit theaters. DONT SEE THIS MOVIE.
