resume: As the wavering cry of the foghorn fills the air, the taciturn former lumberjack, Ephraim Winslow, and the grizzled lighthouse keeper, Thomas Wake, set foot in a secluded and perpetually grey islet off the coast of late-19th-century New England. So Palpatine knew there was a pathfinder in the debris of the 2nd DS - So instead of just ordering someone to pick it up, he decides to make a dagger that has a little retractable thing that alligns to the debris of the DS when viewed from a certain cliff. So he ordered someone to go to the DS debris, find the pathfinder but leave it there, fly to the nearby cliff and design the dagger retractable appendix in a way it matches the pathfinder device. Then lends this dagger to a hired assassin - How any of this makes any sense.
