I love this version of the Addams. They are all very loveable characters

It actually took me a while to realize that Wednesdays braids are nooses. They did this at the end with the new addams family movie. Raul Julia, Angelica Houston, Christopher Lloyd, Christina Ricci, none of them are in this movie. They've all been replaced by Tim Curry... Reminds me of The Mask - but in a bad way. As satire, this may have worked, but not as a legit Addams Family Movie. I forgot that Finn Wolfhard was in this movie. For some reason Im curious if some of them are still alive. I was rude. We like rudeness. Fun fact: eye of Newt was likely just an old fashioned term for mustard seed.

Wouldn't you love to have a husband like Gomez? I always thought THIS was the perfect family. They were far more content than anyone I knew in suburbia in real life. I don't care what people say, I'll make You sunk my battleship. a meme. (I don't know why I find it so funny, maybe it reminds me of ships and shippers. Watered down, safe" and completely bland version of The Addams Family.
This is what you end up with and deserve in the PC culture we live in now. No one is offended and no one is entertained. Boring.

Took my kids to see this and no one even laughed once. The jokes fell flat and tried way too hard.

I liked it, Tim Curry is always good. Only downside was the inevitable Crap music at the end of the film, instead of the original theme music.

I wish this was on Netflix so I dont have to find it on here. I thought this was a horrifyingly good time. I thought it was funny and got some genuine laughs out of me. Yes, there are jokes that are going to be more geared towards kids like fart jokes for is a family movie afterall. But plenty little nods and winks for the adults to enjoy as well. It had nice message to it as well... embracing people for who they are and all, and there was some possible coding in the movie that I thought was interesting too. I didnt bring any kids with me but this was plenty of them in my theater and they seem to be quite engaged with the story and were laughing along with it. There were a couple of things - mostly character wise - that didnt always ring true. Like at one point (as Wednesday is going through a bit of rebellious phase) decides to run you'd think the family would like that sort of thing considering how opposite they are to modern society. But they don't. That didnt really detract from my overall enjoyment though.
Other things I liked, I thought the cast did a good job. Most notably Charlize Theron as Morticia and Chloe Grace Moretz as Wednesday. I really thought they had the essence of their characters down. If I had to pick a weak link, I'd say Finn Wolfhard. Its not that he's bad. but it felt like he could be voicing anyone, you know. There wasnt a moment where I felt "Yes, that's Pugsley.
Overall, it was cute and I enjoyed it. And I think this will be a fun movie to re-visit.

It's adorable how caring and loving Gomez is to his family. In so many shows and movies, the Dad is either dead, a deadbeat, or does absolutely nothing. It's so nice to see a father like Gomez actually care and adore is kids and wife. I have a bad feeling about this. Who else sang along with the song. So when did the Addams Family move to california.
