"One Drop Sea Garden" Showa 32 (1957) Garden by Mirei Shigemori. It is a sitting Karesansui garden that you can see from the corridor of the main hall. There was an old garden built in the Kamakura period at Komyozenji Temple, but because it was devastated, Mirei Shigemori recreated the garden while making use of the old autumn leaves without cutting them. A dry landscape garden, a tea room, and an open field are adjacent to each other, and a deck with a wooden moon-viewing board is attached. Of the four gardens created by Mirei Shigemori in Kyushu, this is the only garden that can be seen by the general public. It is most crowded during the autumn leaves. However, the maple fresh green (Aomomiji) period from late spring to early summer may be the most beautiful.
The place is the end where you go straight on the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu, turn right at the torii gate at the end, and go straight for about 100m.
