1D1U Unitersさんたちのレポートの添削をしたので、完成を読んだユニタスさんより感想が届いた。
I proofread and edited the 1D1U Uniters' report so I received feedback from Uniters who read the finished report.
堀口さんの技、素晴らしいです。
なんだか傑作になって、戻ってきました。
細かいところを足してもらっていて読みやすい！
こんな風に表現するんだと勉強になります。
隊長の加筆部分。読んだ時に笑って元気になって、言葉のプレゼントをもらえました。
小見出しと段落分けのお陰でとてもスッキリ、分かりやすくなりました！

I learned how to express myself. I laughed and cheered up when I read the captain's additions, and I was given the present of words!

それを読んで思った。なんだか、華道の先生が私のいけばなを手直ししたあとの、私の感想と似ているということに。手直しされれば、「あ、そうすればよかったのか！」と分かるが、また次の稽古で再現しようとも、なかなか難しく感じている。
When I read that, I thought it was similar to how I felt after my Ikebana teacher had reworked my ikebana. When she reworked it, I found, “Oh, I should have done it like that!" but I still feel that it is very difficult to make it myself in the next lesson.
ユニタスさんの添削を2年前からしているが、それによってユニタスさんの文章力が飛躍しているのかというと、やはり私と同じように、習得することは難しそうだ。
I've been proofreading Uniters works for two years, and I'm not sure if it has made Uniters writing skills improve dramatically. I think it still seems to be as difficult to make it on their own as it is for me.
私は迷うことなく、カットしたり、加筆したり、スタイルを揃えたりできる。直感に従う。文章を読んでいると、「この部分はいらない」とか「言葉が足りない」とか、感覚的にわかる。だから、自分が完璧だと思うところまで編集をする。まさに私の華道の先生のように。
I can cut, add, and align the style without hesitation. I follow intuition. When I read a sentence, I can tell by my senses that I won't need this part, or that a word is missing, etc. So I edit it until I get to the point where I feel like it's perfect. Just like my lkebana teacher.
私は手直しすることも手直しされることも経験している。方程式を解くように、手直しされたものの足跡をたどっていくと、何かが見つかるのだろうか？ その洞察力が自分を成長させてくれる。 つまり、実践し続けることで、直感力が養われていくのだ。
I've experienced both reworking and being reworked. Like solving an equation, if I follow the footprints of what has been reworked, Will I find something? That insight will help me grow. In other words, if we keep practicing, we will develop intuition.
直感は神秘的な力で、熟練した者を静かに導くものであり、ピンポイントで特定することは難しく、見る者固有のものである。それは師匠からコピーすることはできない。自分の中でしか開発できないのだ。
Intuition is a mysterious force, it guides the skillful silently, it is hard to pinpoint, and is unique to the beholder. It can not be copied from a teacher, it can only be developed within you.
