代々木上原のイタリアンのお店で食事をした。ボクらを含めて3組のお客さんがいたのだが、お店はシェフ一人だけだ。玉ねぎの温かい前菜やさんまやきのこなど季節の食材を使ったメニューも豊富で迷ってしまう。最初のドリンクを飲みながら何にしようと考えていると、絶妙なタイミングで席まで来てくれる。その後もグラスのドリンクを飲み終えたタイミング、料理が終わったタイミングにテーブルにいてくれる。「すみません」という言葉は不要だ。全テーブルスムーズに食事が進む。料理のスピードも速いけれど、お客さんの動きをチェックもすごい。できる人はできるんだなぁ。(絵と文:サカキテツ朗)
I ate at an Italian restaurant in Yoyogi-Uehara. There were 3 groups of customers including us, and there is only one chef. The menu that uses seasonal ingredients such as warm onion appetizers and saury mushrooms is so atructive that it was hard to choose. When we were thinking about what to eat with our first drink, he came to our seat at the right time. After that, he was at the table when we finished drinking a glass of drink and eating. The word "excuse me" is unnecessary. All tables had a smooth meal. The speed of cooking was fast, and checking the movements of customers is amazing.
