The effects that addiction can leave on the loved ones of the addict can be irreparable and devastating. Also, unfortunately most people lose their battle with addiction and die Young as jack does. His family lives on, while still traumatized, but still they carry on. But, addiction kills the addict and leaves the loved ones alive to suffer but leaving them alive non the less.
