My dad worked on this movie, he wasnt like a main character or the director but just a key grip. However he came home from work every day talking about how excited he was for it, and he was thrilled to take us all to see it and show the hard work paying off. And of course then corona hit and we couldnt watch it. I absolutely love Interstellar as a movie and could watch it over and over again. While I love the movie for it's visual and storytelling masterpiece, I think the music is what I love most. It's tense and exciting at the same time, it draws my attention to the passing of time (A major theme of the movie) in such a way that only Hans Zimmer could do. His music is astounding and I think that the soundtrack artists for movies should receive more credit than they get. Of the entire soundtrack, Mountains is my favorite though not by much since the entire movie was audible gold.
This movie is seriously underrated. Can't wait to be able to purchase a copy on DVD one of my favorites from when I was little. 4:00 The way the Tesseract folds up. Just iconic. How did they plan and film such a mind-bending sequence in 4 dimensions. How this man has only 1 Academy Award makes me hate the oscars. The reason why the ship didnt get ripped up when it entered the black hole is because the bigger the black hole, the longer it takes you to reach the singularity which means the ship can stay in there for way longer. If you were to enter a small black hole you would be instantly ripped apart because you would reach the singularity way faster.
I love this channel but you cant do this to this movie 😂.

A few months ago bought OLED TV for deep black colors. First thing I wanted to see from TV was this very same wormhole scene. Was not disappointed, goosebumps 100.

So instead of trying to break down the movie even further and imply that i know something you don't, because i don't, i will simply suggest my favorite part in the movie. my favorite part of the movie was probably when coop decided they needed to catch up to their spinning space-station and dock their ship. i felt like i was going into labor and about to pass out from hyperventilating. even though in the back of my mind i knew things would work out, it was still extremely intense to watch that scene. 9:18 yes it did, it takes time for a spacecraft to rendezvous.
Okay, here's what I think: We're three dimensional beings, right? We can't perceive purely two dimensional objects. In fact, two dimensional objects can't exist in our world, before you draw a circle on a paper to prove me wrong, the paper has some thickness. So it's 3D. The same way, probably the 5 Dimensional beings may not be able to interact with us directly since we're 3D beings. But, they're evolved enough to perceive our existence. So in order to save us from extinction. the 5D beings, for whom time is a physical dimension, put out a tesseract in the black hole. They need not have made the blackhole, but just put the cube in it. Now, inside a blackhole, multiple dimensions exist simultaneously. I.e, the number of dimensions is arbitrary. Therefore inside the blackhole, Cooper can now interact with time as a physical dimension, since it doesn't matter if he's a 3D being or not. That way he used Gravity to prevent extinction of mankind by conveying the quantum information to Murph. What do you guys think.
This is the best scene in the 1 of the best scenes. The fact that they kept space silent in this movie made it soooo powerful. I get goosebumps when Cooper ejects and you can only hear his breath. Personal top 5 movie all time easily. This movie is phenomenal in every way. What I never got is why Saturn? Wouldn't it have been more easy for these future humans to open the wormhole up. I don't closer to Earth.
Eject! Eject! Eject! I can see how that would be a preferable death, but it's still funny and ultimately futile.

Saying that love is the answer to the problem of the humankind and even a dimension is an error. I mean, everything in the film is quite scientifically accurate, why did they screw that up? WHY?
However, everything else is perfect. Matthew McConaughey has just won a new fan. There are several scenes where he is alone in front of a camera that with just his expression you can really feal all the emotions and even cry.
Us in the future: So, what do we so with this guy now? Another US in the future: nah, just dump him near Saturn. They'll take him from there. My only regret in life will be not seeing this in IMAX.
