ボリス首相率いるConservative Party （保守党） のスローガン、”Build back better!（創造的復興） “ならぬ、”Build back greener” 。
ボリス首相の、「2030年までに40GW :全家庭の電力（英国総電力需要量の1/3）全てを風力発電でまかなう」という声明について。
"Your kettle, your washing machine, your cooker, your heating, your plug-in electric vehicle - the whole lot of them will get their juice cleanly and without guilt from the breezes that blow around these islands," he said.

今年10/1の国連の生物多様性サミット@NY。ここで、生物多様性を守るために英国領土の30%を保護すると宣言した後に続く、この声明。
2050年までの二酸化炭素ゼロを目指して、イギリスは風力発電を加速させる。

欧州では、同じく海に面する北欧でもoff-shore（洋上）風力発電が発達しており、有名なカンパニーも幾つか。
on-shore （陸上）風力発電では、ドイツやスペインも盛んだ。
英国における、再生可能エネルギー比率は昨年で全電力の30%。
10年前には、80%は化石燃料が占めていたことを考えれば、急速な進歩を遂げた。
ドイツは2年前に、同じ状況を達成しており、スウェーデンは7年前にクリア。アイスランド、ノルウェー、コスタリカの電力網は、ほぼすべてが再エネで賄われている。
前職で、”日経エネルギー” （現在は、オンライン媒体”日経エネルギーNEXT“へリニューアル）という雑誌の創刊に携わってから、早5年。
再エネ最先端の欧州の後ろ姿を追いかけてきた日本。
同じ海に囲まれた島国でも、
台風や地震、景観、バードストライクなど安定供給が難しいと言われている日本の風力発電だが、
英国から学ぶことはきっと多いはず。
今がその、
”lightbulb moment”

なのかもしれない。
