Alexandra Daddario has always managed to be the part written. Sadly for this unmemorable dull experience, her nuances couldn't carry the emptiness around her along for the ride. Maybe it was a passion project from her love of the book... I hope so. She's been very selective of good roles since escaping the horror stereotype most young, pretty actresses get stuck in.

The reason is she's not a great actress, yet, and might never get there, but perhaps she is bored of playing the predictable yet safe opening herself to new challenges from exciting and dynamic writers and directors she might get there. Look at the likes of Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, Rachel Weisz, they didn't get there by being safe. Good luck to her. PS I thought this movie had some of her most emotional acting.
