When we finally cut back to Butch, he is attentively listening to every word. the perspective camera work reflects his focus. a literal 180 from a kids cartoon, turning it off right as some commander character begins to speak, and swinging around to hear from a real war captain. It's really a vastly underappreciated scene on multiple levels. Brilliant. Note the gold tones throughout the shot in the color and lighting, later reflected in the character of adult Butch.
