Early on I noticed no cuts and was like - this is different. The fact that I'll never get to watch this for the first time again... I remember watching the running across the battlefield he bumped into the other actors and while he was running the tin in his top pocket came SOOOO close to falling out, it stressed me out WAY more than it should have.

God I hope this wins big at the Oscars. Ill be shocked if it doesnt get the Original Score award

I wish I could watch this movie for the 1st time again, the unknown eerie feeling constantly pressuring your anxiety... Reminds me of the end of infinity war. Most of these aren't even stuff u missed. DUDE is literally stating facts like were he said that it is not based on a true story just based off some stuff from his grandfather. I really don't have a clue how they pulled this camera work off. I definitely saw where some transitions happened. But as far as going through trenches, over water, through barbed wire I haven't a clue.

Coming back here on memorials day to remember the fallen. Best scene in the whole movie, I used to play bf1, this scene made me remember running through Duff on Nivelle Nights. Are we just not gonna talk about how wonderful this music is. These movie are one of the best world war 2 movies ive ever watched man! Nice one! Richard best aka Mr. Ajax in deadpool just got the perfect role!😁👍👍👍. Saving Private Ryan, Fury, 1917. now we've got a goddamn war trilogy ! 1917 is the best WW1 movie of all time, not because of his fighting scene but to just brings us too in the Great War alongs with Blake and Scho. The tiny story in the big one always win.

Putting From the director of Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow in the trailer does NOT do the movie any favors. Things you missed I know just about everything about the Great War, so it comes as no surprise that there wasn't anything I missed ;D.

When the trailer has more cuts than the movie. From looking at the trailer I'd almost think the 1976 movie had better effects. It's bizarre to think that everything happened in this movie without cuts. It's so incredible how much happened in this movie without having a cut in time, only leaving the good parts. (Other than one part where he gets knocked out.) It's also incredible to think how MUCH happened in war. This was only about one day in the life of a soldier. Imagine how much more they had to endure, and how many other people had to endure the same things. It's heartbreaking, genuinely. Many of the men we saw died, and many of them had families, just like Schofield( His name escapes me at the time being, excuse my bad memory.) Sometimes it's so difficult for me to see past the surreality of true event movies like this, but this really woke me up...

I dont think people understand how much work was put into filming this scene. I absolutely love this movie. Well the director was in no mood to say cut even once during the entire shooting; OMG what a masterpiece. 1917 in my opinion is one of the best world war 1 films, i have this view on the film as it has used a very unique throughout the whole film where the camera has not to have been cut once through the use of editing and this is as they follow the two soldiers through there long and hard journey to get the other 1st battalion to warn them of a trap that they are about to fall into by the German front line. By using this type of cinematography it has meant that the viewer is kept on the edge of their seat throughout the entire film as they follow the two men from the moment the film begins. This film got all of the awards that it deserved and can be seen in how hard they worked to make this film, it is truly amazing and i would watch over again and again.

Jolly good show mates. Who else thinks this is a better movie than midway.

It doesn't feel right watching this movie in bits & pieces.

Watching this in theaters, you could feel the entire audience just in awe. And the fact that it wasnt a CGI scene but instead masterfully lit and shot, it just teleported you into another world.

I'm considering my self lucky because I watched this movie in a theatre with all the mesmerizing visual and sound effects.
