The first Bill & Ted move became a classic and shaped a whole generation; partially because of its goofy cute fuzziness but also because it captured the essence of optimism and dynamism that was t he 80's. The second movie was, well, not good. So I was sort of hoping that it would end there.
But then, like Frankenstein, someone could not let this concept stay dead. They had to revive it. Watching Keanu go back to the goofy moronic character which had jump started his career after having seen him evolve as an actor was nothing short of painful. The plot of "Bill and Ted Face the Music" felt strained and silly. Perhaps because it doesn't fit as well into the era of the 2020's as it did in 1989; the cuteness and fuzziness that it had in -89 is gone. Now it's just goofy. Sure there were some funny moments but it just can't make up for the fact that this franchise should have stayed locked away in a filing cabinet.

I loved the Bill and Ted movies, especially Bogus Journey. But this was a disaster.

You can feel the cringe all over this, from the undeveloped script, the callbacks, the woke Hollyweird stuff, and that cheese finale.

Alex Winter did sooo much better than Keanu Reeves in this one. Which was surprising.

William Sadler was amazing as Death, again. The scenes with the princesses also played very well.

The daughters and all the new side characters didn't work. The robot might have worked if the rest of the film played better.

I would have given this 1 star if it wasn't for Alex Winter. The future versions of Bill were golden. British Bill was so creepy and Old Bill's face will keep me laughing for a couple more days. You can tell he worked so much harder than everyone else involved.

Remember the second amendment protects all others.
