注：藤江氏魚楽園は管理会社の都合により2021/06/19より閉園しています。公式サイトではわかりづらいですがカフェのみ営業しています。庭園の公開が再開される予定は不明です。

室町中期、池泉回遊式庭園、雪舟による作庭の可能性が高い庭のひとつ。

雪舟は明から帰国して７年ほど九州に滞在していた。雪舟は神仏習合の修行地であった英彦山や大分のアトリエ「天開図画楼」に滞在し創作活動を行ったがそこに至る過程で多くの場所に立ち寄っている。英彦山にもほど近い福岡県川崎町の荘園領主であった藤江氏の元にも雪舟はしばらく滞在した。そのとき作庭したのが藤江氏魚楽園だと言われている。この庭園は雪舟作の可能性が高く、規模の違いこそあれ特に滝の形が山口県山口市「常栄寺」、島根県江津市「小川家雪舟庭」と共通しており興味深い。九州北部〜中国山陰地方には伝・雪舟庭が大変多いが、国の名勝に指定されているものはそう多くはない。秋は紅葉の名所となっている。

“Fujieshi Gyoraku-en”Kawasaki-town Fukuoka-pref.

Sesshu returned from Ming dynasty's study abroad, but due to "Onin no Ran" he could not return to Kyoto and stayed in Kyushu for several years. The return ship of Sesshu landed near the Itoshima peninsula located in the west of Hakata. It is estimated that Sesshu eventually moved to Raizan of Itoshima, and Sasaguri inland, and finally reached Hikosan, where he stayed there for about three years. There is still a lot of garden that Sesshu work is transmitted to that route even now. This Fujieshi Gyoraku-en is a garden in the residence of a manor manor who Sesshu brought himself to Hikosan for a while. It is said that it is the garden with the highest likelihood of Sesshu work as well as Hikosan's Kyu Kameishibo garden. The garden is still managed by Mr. Fujie's descendants.
