Jarwo, who is the same age as the author Ando and is also a classmate at yusa's school. (Commonly known as jarwo)
I met him when yusa and jarwo were the organizers of the project and had a meeting with he classmate artists for a group exhibition in Herman's co-studio. (I participated with yusa as part of the studio tour)
I remember seeing jarwo organize a planning meeting with a very reassuring conversation technique, and I was interested in it being reliable.
Japanese samurai will appear in the works made by jarwo.
However, unlike my "samurai" who was born and raised in Japan, I had a strange image of boxing and sleeping in a place like an office with a modern gun. In addition, it feels adorable to wear armor in a lawful manner.
In the background of the mysterious samurai statue drawn by jarwo, a landscape reminiscent of the influence of various cultures such as manga and movies spreads, and excessive information enters the screen, making it seem like you have never seen it. A mysterious balance is born.
The exquisite balance creates a kind of exotic, and you can see the picture freshly.
(If you mention the gap in detail, I interpret it as a hybrid of the influence of the land where jarwo was born and raised and studied painting, and the information of another land etc. due to the development of the Internet and transportation etc.)
And the most important thing is that when you look at the picture, you can tell that jarwo is really fun to draw! !!
For example, when I was little, the moment I saw his picture, I felt like drawing the weapons and armor of the strongest character I envisioned, or carefully drawing a picture that projected an ideal image.
Unlike the usual jarwo paintings, the works drawn for this exhibition are framed with small robots drawn one by one.
There is a little link with us who have been quarantined by the current coronavirus.
However, I also feel that I am happy to have flowers and find fun. However, I think it can be interpreted in various ways.
I'm wondering what you think when you look at his paintings.
terima kashi Jarwo! !!
I want to relax someday with graffiti of the same generation!
