about Hironori Minematsu
about Hironori Minematsu
Mr. Minematsu, who is currently an art director at the artas gallery in Fukuoka, is also active as an artist.
He completed the design process at the Surrey Institute Of Art & Design (UK) in 2005 after graduating from the oil painting major at Tama Art University in 2004. After that, he was based in Berlin for 11 years from 2006, and has a history of working as an artist and also as a curator.
he have two job & has an indispensable activity called "Hertha Berlin and Urawa Reds supporters".
This time, I would like to dig deeper into the content of Mr. Minematsu as an artist.
First of all, I will quote his production theme from the homepage.
-Hironori Minematsu artwork theme-
Two-dimensional works and three-dimensional works are also announced under the names of "WARETA MEGANE MINETARO" and "GOKUSOTSU", and photographs and digital works are also announced under the name of "BAKA OBAKE".
The reason is that I can become a different personality when criticized. I photographic works are inspired by psychic photography.
The ghosts and ghosts that are the motif of the work often felt fluffy when I was a child when I moved a lot, so I thought that I wanted to be a ghost and it appeared in graffiti. Things continue to appear even after they grow up.
- Keita Ando's review-
Mr. Minematsu says that the name at the time of production is also divided like the actual activities of "director / artist / supporter".
There are various places where the ghosts he draws appear, such as canvas, paper, photographs, magazines, on the web, etc.
The ghosts he draws have the image of standing alone, which makes me feel quiet and lonely. On the contrary, in addition to many colors (pale, dull, vivid), it uses many matiere, and it seems that it extracts intense emotional movements such as anger and joy.
I will skip the story, but Mr. Minematsu is a very kind person. He, of course, thinks he can get angry, but he has a devoted image of everything.
I think that Mr. Minematsu, who is such a gentle person, is expressing passion for matiere and color as an expression of his own emotions that accumulates inside, and loneliness and sadness for ghosts.
Mr. Minematsu, who has a deep knowledge of music, always enjoys talking about music.
Music can now be easily saved as videos, but from the performer's point of view, I feel that it has a strong aspect of momentary emotional expression.
He draws pictures like an ad lib of music, and his style of trying to directly show the events of the heart that may have happened recently seems to express "the roar of the soul" between the picture and the music.
(Drawing a picture with Mr. Minematsu is really fun like a jazz session, because each other is creating a lot of drawings, and it makes me feel like I'm having a conversation with the drawings. I'm drawn into the world of Mr. Minematsu)
In this exhibition as well, we are very grateful for the practical work as well as the provision of paintings.
thank you very much!
Once the virus has subsided, I want to smoke and draw!
