昨日雨が降ると思わなかった

Hi everybody! Here is a sentence pattern that is easy in Japanese but a little difficult in English. この文法は日本語では存在していない文ですからちょっと難しいかもしれないけどぉ・・・少し練習すればマスターできますよ！ So, let`s practice!!

では、how do you say　「昨日雨が降ると思わなかった」 in English? Just say…

I didn`t think it would rain yesterday.

・I didn`t think we would kiss on the first date. (初デートでチユすると思わなかった。)

・I didn`t think you would buy a dog. (犬を買うと思わなかった。)

・I didn`t think the Mariners would trade Ichiro. (マリナーズがイチローを移籍させると思わなかった。)

何々と思っていたけどそうじゃなかったって言いたい時はこのパターンを使いましょう：

I thought + 主語 + would + 動詞の原形

・I thought more Japanese judo athletes would get gold medals. (柔道で日本人がもっと金メダルをとると思ってたのに。)

・I thought more people would come to the party. (パーティーの参加者がもっと多いと思ったのに・・・。)
