First things first, Nolan had redefined "Batman" in the 2005's "Batman Begins" in such a brilliant and unexpected helped Batman to retain the standards that the character was loosing. So it was very important for him to make the sequel more powerful & fully of impact to overcome the hype.
Now the movie opens with unexpected and witty entry of the joker in an interview it was asked to Nolan that why Ledger and he answered because he is fearless. the joker character is excellently pulled by Heath ledger,I wish he was alive to see how great work he has done with joker. The joker does not believe in following the rules he just does what he wants that makes him dangerous and fearless like Nolan said.
This movie is not just about action and special effects,but has many ideologies that a person should learn from this movie. There's a line in the movie where Harvey dent played flawlessly by Aaron Eckhart, You either die hero,or wait your entire life and become a villain.
Until the intermission or just 20 minutes before it you would think that this movie entirely belongs to the Nolan has made this movie in such a way that it can be called as Joker: Batman=4:1, that means if there are four great scenes pulled by joker then there's one scene of the batman to equalize it. Rest of the cast especially Micheal Caine and Maggie she has given the role of Rachel Dawes her own won't for me to praise this masterpiece as you know it is ruling the B-O.

This is typical and so average action flick. With really stellar cast. Most of my favorite actors are here (Caine, Bale, Oldman) and some other I usually enjoy watching (Freeman, Eckhart, Gyllenhaal) BUT it was all in vain because - at first place I like movies with message or those that'll make you think (f.e. Figt club, Dogville, American beauty. And if there's no message or possibility of insight, I like to be entertained (f.e. Noises off, Corpse bride, The Curse of the Black Pearl (even St. Trinian's and Mamma mia! although shallow and naive, they make you smile, sing/dance) But this one. 1. message – none, this movie won't make you think about your life, won't change your point of view, won't make you a better person, won't even make you think at all; 2. fun – a lot if you like violence, blowing things up, fire, killing, otherwise none. Too long, boring, shallow. No dialogs, no humor, nothing. Thank God I've waited for DVD, so I could use fast forward. I'll give it 5/10 in my "notebook" but just 1 here, because it's waaaay overrated.
