「長楽園 庭園」島根県・"Chorakuen Garden" Shimane Pref

長楽園は島根県松江市の玉造温泉にある老舗ホテル。その歴史は大変古く経営者一族は奈良時代にまでさかのぼると言われ、現在の長楽園は明治元年に同地で営業を始めた。現在見られる長楽園の日本庭園も同じく明治元年に造園された。庭園は池泉回遊式庭園で、周囲を一周し橋を渡ったり滝を間近に眺めたり変化する景色を楽しむことができる。途中、池にせり出すように建てられた四阿には自由にあがることができるので、手すりに持たれながら池を間近に感じつつゆっくり過ごすこともできる。昭和期に離れ客室として「相生荘・あいおいそう」が新たに建築され、そのさい庭園にも変更がなされているが、相生荘は庭屋一如そのままに庭園の添景として大変美しく調和し庭園の格を高めている。この主庭とは別に地下道をくぐった裏山には昭和天皇の御巡幸の際に作られた御座所庭園が、本館ロビーに面して枯山水庭園がある。

The Japanese garden of Chorakuen, which can be seen today, was also landscaped in the first year of the Meiji era. The garden is a pond spring strolling garden where you can go around the area, cross a bridge, look at the waterfall up close, and enjoy the changing scenery. On the way, you can freely go up to Shia, which was built to protrude into the pond, so you can spend your time slowly feeling the pond up close while being held by the handrail. In the Showa period, "Aioiso" was newly built as a guest room, and the garden was changed at that time, but Aioiso is a garden that is very beautifully harmonious as a garden garden as it is. It is raising the rank. In addition to this main garden, on the back mountain that passed through the underpass, there is the Gozasho Garden, which was created during the pilgrimage of Emperor Showa, and the Karesansui Garden facing the lobby of the main building.
