おしゃれな建物や街角がある街. A city with fashionable buildings and street corners.

街を歩いていて「あっ、おしゃれだな」と思って立ち止まることがある。 教会、城址、美術館、ショップ、川に架かる橋梁、さらに色と高さが統一されたおしゃれな街並みなど。

おしゃれな空間の要素とはどのようなものなのか、考えてみると次のような要素があげられる。 1かっこよさ:あこがれ、非日常性なども含まれ、かっこよい姿に思わず声をだしてしまう。 2良質であること:材質、色、経過年数、使われ方など良質でなければならない。 3周辺とのマッチング:周囲とマッチしながら、全体の雰囲気として発信していなければならない。

きっと、おしゃれだなと立ち止まらせるのは、このような要素が私に語りかけてくるからだろう。

When I walk on the street, I sometime stop and think ‒ it is very fashionable. Church, castle, museum, shops, bridges, and buildings of similar colors and heights etc.

It looks to me that the elements that make a fashionable space is following :

1Good sense : people like something they are longing for and that is extraordinary

2Good quality : material, color, aging, the way of usage have to be good quality

3Good match with surroundings : need a harmony with surrounding areas and show as a whole

Perhaps, these elements would make me stop and feel attracted.
