I did not expect much from this film. Yet it still managed to disappoint. At least I caught it on television, if I had paid money to see it I would have felt very cheated.
The kid was annoying, and I hated every character. The highlight was watching Hugh Jackman get punched in the face. The entire movie was so formulaic and clichéd I could not finish it, had to turn it off with 20 minutes left.
Younger children might enjoy the visual's, but the stupid, by-the-numbers story, and miserable characters offer nothing for anyone older than 8.

2 years until 2020, dosen't look like we're gonna have robot boxing anytime soon. I like to think that somehow, someway, Atom inherited the soul or two of the toughest boxing MOFOs to ever exist, and they made a bot who literally was designed to take a pounding and keep standing from the damage. And maybe they died leaving a child behind, leaving them that paternal instinct and will to not disappoint the child again.
