ポンプ所は、地下に設置されたパイプで集められた汚水を、水再生センターへ送水したり、雨水を川や海などに放流する施設です。東京23区には85カ所のポンプ所があり、その内の10カ所が葛飾区にあります。亀有ポンプ所は、葛飾区青戸の、中川西岸に設置されています。

A pump station is a facility that sends sewage collected by pipes inbeded underground to a water reclamation center, and also discharges rainwater to rivers and sea. There are 85 pump stations in the the twenty-three wards of Tokyo, and 10 of them in Katsushika city. The Kameari pomp station is located on the west bank of Nakagawa river in Aoto, Katsushika-ku.
