The tool I will introduce you today is "File"

When shaping a ring, you need to scrape off unnecessary parts while changing the roughness of the file teeth.

In the picture above, there are different roughness of the file teeth.

Which are from the left, coarse teeth, medium teeth and fine teeth.

A file is used in the process of rolling a rod-shaped material and connecting the cross sections.

The cross section is jagged and uneven.

If the areas of both ends are not  connected enough, It will be fragile when brazed.

so make sure both ends are flat by filing it.

If you can make both ends flat with a file, you're done.

Once you were able to file, all you have to do now is to connect each end.
