Power Spot in the Central Tokyo: Tokyo Daijingu
Ise Shrine which is located in Mie prefecture (more than 500km south-west from Tokyo) is the most prominent of shrines in Japan and an extraordinarily sacred place.
Many years ago, the people who lived around Tokyo(Edo) wanted to visit Ise Jingu but it was so difficult because it was far from Tokyo(Edo).
So the new shrine was built in Tokyo (Edo) and this enabled people in Tokyo to worship the deities enshrined in the Grand Shrine of Ise from afar. This new shrine is "Tokyo Daijingu ".
Still now a lot of people visit "Tokyo Daijingu".
If you travel around Tokyo, the writer recommend to go there due to a good access and place.
Even the central in Tokyo, you can feel the extraordinary experiences. Also around this area, there are many good restaurants or shops especially "Kagura-zaka" street. Please walk around!
In the limited time (around June-August), we can get "Warabi-mochi" and "barley tea" in this shrine. These are free. You just ask "Can I get them?", you can get them. Don't wait quietly, it gives to someone who request by themselves.
Warabi-mochi is Japanese traditional chilled dessert which is made from bracken starch with brown sugar syrup.
Please try them!
If the weather is good(or hot), you can have a seat under this ”Sudare" (bamboo blind) and enjoy the sound of "Hurin" (wind chime).
One more thing you should try is "Omikuji". It is fortune teller.
But you can not read...
In this shrine, you can try the fortune teller in English so do not worry about it!
Even the difficult time for travelling now, hope you will come to Japan soon.
