「祐徳稲荷神社」佐賀県鹿島市

京都の伏見稲荷大社、茨城の笠間稲荷神社と共に「日本三大稲荷」に数えられている。年間の参拝者は３００万人で九州では太宰府天満宮の次に多い。社殿は極彩色に彩られ「鎮西日光：九州の日光・東照宮」と称される。ミラーグラスで覆われたエレベーターは近年新築されたが景観に配慮し他の建物と不思議な調和を見せ神社の未来系のよう、有料だがぜひ利用することをお勧めする。エレベーター前を右に進むと池泉回遊式庭園の日本庭園がある。入場料２００円。春の牡丹、秋の紅葉が見事。楼門前の神池は遣水で日本庭園の池とつながっている。山上の本殿前からのぞむ外苑東山には桜とツツジが植樹され山上には花園があり、祐徳稲荷神社の御神域すべてが庭園化され季節ごとに桜・ツツジ・藤・菖蒲・菊など様々な花で彩られる。また秋の紅葉も見事。真っ赤な大鳥居が立つ参道は桜並木が続く。佐賀鍋島藩大名庭園「御船山楽園」や足立美術館を作庭した中根金作の「慧洲園」がある武雄市から車で約３０分なのでまとめて一日で巡ることができる。さらに効率よく回れば小城市の大名庭園跡「小城公園」、佐賀市の「隔林亭」まで見学可能。

"Yutoku Inari Shrine" Kashima city, Saga Prefecture

Together with Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto and Kasama Inari Shrine in Ibaraki, it is counted as one of the "Three Great Inari Shrines in Japan". The annual number of worshipers is 3 million, which is the second largest in Kyushu after Dazaifu Tenmangu. The shrine is painted in brilliant colors and shines golden, and is called "Chinzei Nikko: Nikko in Kyushu, Toshogu". The main shrine is on the mountain and can be climbed by an elevator covered with mirror glasses. It has a Japanese garden with a strolling garden, and the pond in front of the tower gate is connected to the pond in the Japanese garden by a stream. Cherry blossoms and azaleas are planted on Gaien Higashiyama, which is seen from the front of the main shrine of Kakedukuri built on the mountain, and there is a flower garden on the mountain. The entire sanctuary is transformed into a garden and is colored with various flowers such as cherry blossoms, azaleas, wisteria, irises, and chrysanthemums every season. The autumn leaves are also wonderful. A row of cherry blossom trees continues along the approach to the bright red torii gate. It is about 30 minutes by car from Takeo City, where Mifuneyama Rakuen and Keishuen are located, so you can go around together.
