[Niigata Univ. #3] Celebration of Prof. Kazuhiro TANAKA's 60th Birthday

On 15 July 2021, we celebrated the 60th birthday of Prof. Kazuhiro TANAKA. Prof. TANAKA was my mentor in my first and second years as an undergraduate. Even after I was in my third and fourth years of university, he continued to care about my academic and personal life. Thanks to his advice, I was able to decide to go to the postgraduate school where I am now. The celebration of his 60th birthday was held by three people, including me. Although we had hoped to hold the event on-site, we decided to do it online via Zoom to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The students he has mentored, as well as the participants gathered here today, have a strong belief in themselves. For me, while I was able to express my gratitude to him, I also felt that I had to contribute to society as one of the students who had learned from him.
