I bought an Nktech 9800, thinking it was the same as as the KT-8900D and could be programmed by Chirp. When it boots up, the front panel even says KT-9800D. Well, using Chirp it reports that the radio didn't go QYT. MPN. NK0KT8900DKI. QYT KT 8900 D. The radio station is very good for the price it sells. It has a good reception sensitivity and emits very well It has strong and clear sound. It looks like CHIRP works with the 8900, not sure about the D version. QYT.
