Avengers: Endgame picks up after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, which saw the Avengers divided and defeated. I also did not think that having Iron Man die in this movie was a good way to end his arc either. I did like how Thor joined the Guardians of the Galaxy, and I have no problems with how strong Captain Marvel is.

However, Ultron went completely wrong and cost millions of lives. Because of his failure, Tony signs with the government in Civil War, which would have been un-character like of him if Ultron didn't happen. We can feel for Tony, for he feels responsible for the deaths after Ultron. Because the Avengers were divided in Infinity War, they were unprepared for Thanos' arrival, thus, allowing him his victory. Tony was afraid of Thanos and was always worried about everyone, so when he died by snapping his fingers, it was perfectly poetic. Thanos died by the same thing he sought to possess. Tony can finally rest, knowing that his friends, family, and that the world is safe and is at peace. He may be fictional, but he's real in my heart. We love you 3,000.
