For me, it's one of the most beautiful scene i've seen in a movie theatre of all my life. Fantastic movie very sad. Rispettivi prevenirli. For nearly 2 hours, Sam Mendes' 1917 kept me on the edge of my seat with immense suspense and almost horror throughout the films runtime. 1917 brings the one shot film style inspired by Birdman (2014) but at an even bigger scale. The one shot style makes you feel even closer to the two soldiers with their intense and demanding mission. The film uses its one shot style to make set pieces feel real, gritty and intense and will leave you in shock and awe when these sequences stop. If you like war films, there is no better cinematic experience delivering the same quality, suspense and emotion in January. With the oscar worthy cinematography of Roger Deakins, the charming and grounded character with the cutting edge directing of Sam Mendes, 1917 is more than just a film, it's an experience, one which all should witness.
I was rooting so hard for Schofield when hes pushing his way through the soldiers and hes the only one who knows theyre going to their deaths. Starring Nick Jonas LOLOLOL. He is just a secondary character. Apart from that, I think the movie was great.
In my hearth and in my mind this movie won the best 2019 movie
I will never, ever forget what it was like to see this film, and particularly, this scene, in theaters for the first time. 'I hoped today might be a good day. Hope is a dangerous thing. Thats it for now, then next week, Command will send a different message. Attack at dawn. There is only one way this war ends. Last man standing. Colonel MacKenzie. The actual video doesnt start until at least 8 minutes in. Winning in Oscars effectively reflects that the movie excels in sound effect and shooting. However, the story is a bit dull, lacking story twist to attract my eye ball. Anyway, it is a ok time killer.
That night scene with the flares. That was haunting and beautiful at the same time. Ive since this five times its a Masterpiece and the music is phenomenal ❤️❤️❤️❤️ George McKay is AMAZING. Top 5 all time movie. My 13 and 10 year old did not move once during the movie. I have never seen them do that. Understand that war is hell. It is not Call of Duty. It helped them appreciate the sacrifice men and women made for each other and their countries. The track “1917” that played at 2:30 is the best imo. It truly sells the mood the film was going for. Goosebumps. This scene is a complete masterpiece. CHARGE. The saddest thing about this scene is that we know there's still another year of fighting before the war finally ends, and there's no guarantee that Schofield will survive. I want to believe that he made it back to his family, but countless men didn't.
I'm going to see this, but there's so much CGI that they look like they're in a painting and not in a real space. My favorite modern depiction of Pearl Harbor is Pearl Harbor. That had real stuff being used and felt like I was watching the actual event unfolding. 5:08 I got chills when that guy started shooting. I'm sorry to buck the trend, but I was very disappointed by this. I found it a bit too fantastic. I don't doubt the story had an element of truth, but in filming it became a bit ridiculous. I also struggled with the video game style filming. Constant camera panning made me feel quite sick.
