The Spartans had a fascinating culture which was best embodied in the dual audio eng 1369. They buried their dead with lavish ceremony and had a strong sense of pacifism, but also drilled into their children from an early age on the superiority of masculinity. In this article we will examine each of these facets on how they contributed to their society. We will then examine what implications this culture may have for us today. The Spartans were known for their religion, which was very different from the religion of most other Greeks. They had a strong sense of nationalism and believed in a creator who they called "the gods" (Hestia in Greek). They believed that the gods were all around and that they watched everything that humans did. Thus, they often met to discuss how immoral things were and to decide if their society should change or if it needed more money or something else to get better. The Spartans were extremely pacifist. They did NOT have any kind of armies or weapons or anything like that, so how did they achieve absolute military power? The answer is through physical training. From the moment they could walk, all Spartan boys were taught to master rudimentary weapons like spears, swords (which were not meant to be used but rather to beat each other with), and shields. As they grew into adults, they would spar with these weapons and practice jumping around and running around in circles. Through this training the Spartans became incredibly strong. The Spartans also had a warrior culture similar to modern day United States marines (please note that there is NO comparison between the society of the United States Marines and the Spartans). They were taught from birth that they should be willing to do anything for their country, even die if it meant defeating their enemies. They were known for their strategic battle tactics, which involved the phalanx. The phalanx was a battle formation used by all Greek armies. It was formed by soldiers holding sideways shields to protect each other against spears coming from the front or swords coming from the top or bottom edges of the shield by another soldier. They used this formation so much that it eventually became associated with them and gave rise to their nickname, "The Phalanx". The Spartans also had dual audio eng 1369 that were similar to modern day United States marines. They started training at age 7 and lived in barracks given food by the government for free. The government also gave them a lot of money and resources. At age 20 the Spartan soldiers were considered adults and would go out to fight for their country. If they were to die in battle however, it was considered an honor and they could be buried with elaborate ceremonies. The Spartan society was very gender biased. Boys were encouraged from birth to be strong and violent because they thought that this would allow them to be better fighters so more men could come back alive from battle. They would often beat each other up for petty reasons, which was not allowed but secretly accepted by the government so more men could become stronger warriors.
