It was released on 15 January 2009 to positive reviews.The film begins in the 1950s, where Li Bai (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) is the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He meets Seetha (Tabu), who at that time is the headmistress of a school for girls. She treats him with disdain when she finds out that he has come to know about her past relationship with his deceased brother Mani (N. T. Rama Rao Jr.), but Li Bai falls in love with her at first sight and she too, eventually reciprocates his love. The film then jumps into the present day where the daughter of Seetha (Anjali Jathia) is a famous film star, and her mother (Kadhal Manish Kabrai) and her husband (Nassar) want her to get married to a rich man like Seetha's daughter by marrying Mahesh (Prakash Raj), who is their neighbour. She, however, refuses as she wants to stay single since she doesn't like those kinds of men.The scene shifts again to the 1960s as movie director Dheeraj (Nishan) starts his career as a casting director and gets approached by his friend Imarantham (Prakash Raj). Imarantham is a dwarf, and Dheeraj finds him suitable for acting in movies. Mahesh, who is also a dwarf like Imarantham, approaches Dheeraj and starts working with him as his assistant. Seetha acts as the heroine in their movie and Mani is the hero. But she soon falls in love with Mani and they get married. Soon after they marry, tragedy strikes: Li Bai finds out that Seetha was responsible for the death of his brother and has her arrested under charges of murder and adultery (since Mani was already married to another woman). In prison, Seetha gives birth to a child named Sivaji (N. T. Rama Rao Jr.). Eventually, Seetha is released from prison on the condition that she abandons her son. To save his mother, Sivaji escapes from jail and takes on his mother's identity. Now, Li Bai has to face extreme consequences for his actions. His daughter commits suicide out of guilt for her father's deeds, Imarantham is unable to act since he has lost the ability to walk after being fitted with prosthetic legs, and Dheeraj is unable to find work as a director because he isn't able to find a hero who can replace the deceased Mani.Tamil Dubbed Sivaji The Boss Torrent
