Jet jts-10 table saw manual

I have a Jet JTS-10 10" table saw that is abut 25 years old. It is in good working order, but the blade is not aligned with the miter slot. Which way is it not in alignment, not straight up or in the slot at a angle? I always use a tilt gauge on my saw as I don't trust the gauge on saw. Recently, I came across a table saw that has me somewhat confused and thought someone here might know a thing or two about it. It is a Jet JTS-10, Model 501, contractors model.
