The pop-up notification encourages you to open what seems like an alert from Google or your carrier, but actually downloads malware onto your device when you tap on it. According to the Department of Defense, this malware has been installed more than one million times on Android devices since the first weekend of September, and more than 100,000 users have complained about it. Of those complaints, fewer than 2 percent were reported on DoD's headquarters' secure network.Android devices that aren't on military networks are apparently unaffected by the Jinka Virus."
