Kamasutra A Tale Of Love Movie Download Mp4
When Kamasutra was first written, it was just a myth and a story about the immortal sage Vatsyayana. It used to be merely a talking point in various Hindu scriptures and until the 17th century, it wasn't even thought to be real. There were plenty of books that claimed to have translated or compiled this ancient text such as those by Royaume and Juste derrida but none proved true. It wasn't until 1644 when John Davies published an English version of this Sanskrit manuscript that received widespread acclaim from western scholars. Davies managed to translate the text without any detailed explanation. He simply brought out a book that contained a collection of love poetry and dialogues. The actual content of the book though was a little different from what was included in Davies' book. By then, researchers had come to know that Vatsayayana wasn't actually an immortal sage but a Kshatriya prince from North India who became a Brahmin scholar after becoming the head of Yajna family in Kannauj. Not much is known about Vatsayayana's personal life except the fact that he married two women named Alakshmi and Rukmini but neither remained married with him for long. After his death, his wives married again and wrote separate books on the Kamasutra. The original Sanskrit text is believed to have been written down in the last documented century BCE. Later on, it was translated into various languages such as Sanskrit, Prakrit, Tamil, Pali and Bengali. The manuscript then made its way into various European languages over a period of four centuries. In 1644, an English translation by John Davies of a Sanskrit book called "Kamasutra" was published by a London publishing house named Elzevirian Society, run by Anthony à Woodfall who was an apothecary from Oxford. The book was republished by another publisher named Anne Moxon in 1791 after which the publishing house went bankrupt. Moxon published a second edition in 1796. The first edition of Kamasutra had over 40 pages of introduction which mostly spoke about the mythical sage Vatsyayana who wrote the legendary book. It was later found out that Davies' version of Kamasutra wasn't complete. It was, at best, an English translation of only one part of the six parts written by Vatsyayana. There were several versions of this book but they were all incomplete. An English translation in 1883 by a man called Richard Burton actually had a partial Sanskrit text of the book in his collection. In 1598, William Caxton published the first English translation of the book in 52 books. Caxton's edition was done from a 1487 translation by a certain Antoine Macario which was not complete either. In 1653, Thomas Barker translated another part of Kamasutra into English from an incomplete version that he found in the library of Trinity College, Cambridge which was made from one by Jean Batteux.
