Bang Bang! is a Hindi web series that portrays the life and struggles of two friends, Saama and Ekta, as they search for success in their own unique way. The series was created by Rajiv Patel-Kumar and shares similarities to American TV shows such as Friends, Vanderpump Rules, and How I Met Your Mother. Released on July 4th 2017 on YouTube by 78 Films, it has gained popular support despite never airing outside of India. Although the show has over 450 thousand views since its release date, Patel-Kumar still appreciates all the love he's received from his audience. Breaking down the fourth wall, the two main characters are played by Saama Shah and Ekta Vyas. Together, they take on the roles of aspiring actors living in Mumbai. Saama is a witty girl whose motto is "don't take life too seriously". While her friend, Ekta, is a bit more conservative and reserved. They have different views on how to get ahead in their careers but have one thing in common: they both love to dance. The series consists of 15 episodes ranging from 4 minutes to 7 minutes in length. Saama stars as the narrator for the first episode, "Banger", which breaks down into three different skits that are meant to be episodes in their own right. This is the only time that they appear ever since episodes one through three were thrown together.  It is unclear whether or not this was intentional but they do continue on with the original format after episode 3. The camera mainly revolves around Saama's character though you will now and again see character cameos made by Ekta. The first season of Bang Bang! had around 60 thousand subscribers. The viewership peaked at 3.7 million views by episode 15. By the end of the first season the show had accumulated over 13 million views. They now own three YouTube channels, two daily with one breaking news group called Bangers with over 10 million subscribers, and one with over 2 million subscribers called Up 'n' Coming. The show received an award for "Favorite Hindi Web Series" at the Media Solutions Awards in 2015. On December 21, 2017, 78 Films took to media to announce that they were coming back for a second season entitled "Bang Bang! Season 2". Season 2 started on September 22, 2017 and ended on November 27, 2017. It contained 13 episodes and featured the same main cast as season 1. Many cameos such as Bipasha Basu, Manish Paul, and Priya Prakash Varrier were featured in some of the later episodes. Along with a special cameo by Undercover Brother himself, Eddie Griffin Jr. The show has been dubbed into over a dozen different languages including Farsi, French, Dutch, Polish and many more. It has also received a lot of support from celebrities around the globe such as Katie Holmes and Adam Brody who have tweeted out to their followers telling them to watch this amazing show.
