Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu spent fourteen years in Varanasi studying under his Guru in order to attain Krishna consciousness. Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu mastered the Vedas in this journey. At the age of eighteen, Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu met His Guru Sri Gopala Bhatta Goswami in Brindavan where he became fully absorbed into his heart.After that, Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu returned to Jagannath Puri, India where he began preaching about Krishna consciousness and was arrested by Government officials for disturbing Lord Jagannath's religious processions. Thereafter, Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu traveled to many parts of India preaching Krishna consciousness. Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had many followers during his lifetime. He had more than 500 followers who were considered to be great devotee saints of God. Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu gave the divine knowledge of Rudra Ghana Patha to his disciples in Sanskrit on palm leaves before leaving for the temple on Lord Jagannath's chariot on May 30, 1533 AD. Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu never returned back from the temple. The Rudra Ghana Patha contains the combination of all the Vedas, including Rigveda, Samaveda, Atharvaveda and Yajur Veda on all the four different Yugas (Yuga Dharma) on all subjects.Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu accepted only Lord Krishna as God and taught others about Lord Krishna during his lifetime. He didn't want any one to give him or accept any external attribute to God that is derived from matter. Therefore, Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu never wrote any book by himself during his lifetime.
