Not all authors will agree on what's important. Some say its the character, some will say the plot. Both are right, but it depends on your story and what you'll share with your audience about yourself and your work. For this exercise, make sure to convey the meaning of the inciting incident or it won't be effective! 3- Don’t worry about editing yet, just get it down! If you like where you're at (or don't like it), then edit by adding more words to further explain the situation or taking away words that aren’t needed at this time. I’ll be giving some feedback on this page to give you some important notes if you don't like where it ended (which is fine, some stories are like that).
