This is the final installment to J. K. Rowling's epic Harry Potter series, and it was worth the wait. If you're unfamiliar with the plot for this one, here's a quick overview:Harry Potter has survived another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but now that he knows about Voldemort’s return, he cannot rest. It's been a bittersweet few years with Potter – we've grown up with him – and now it's time to see how the story ends. I have no doubts that this installment will continue where Part 1 left off – full of momentum and keeping us on the edge of our seats from beginning to end... and that it will end with a finale like none we've ever seen before.The movie does take some liberties with the book, but nothing major – it's mostly added scenes and dialogue here and there. The ones I saw were no true additions, even if they weren't in the original story – they only enhanced the story and helped us understand certain things. Rowling gave her blessing for changes like these (and warranted) as long as they didn't alter what happens to Harry, Ron and Hermione in the end – which we know is "all good."The first half of this movie was pretty intense. We see the trio (Harry, Ron and Hermione) in their last year at Hogwarts. They've started to learn more about the horcruxes (magical artifacts in which Voldemort stores his soul). The trio spends much of their time looking for the objects and finding out clues about where they are. While this is going on, Voldemort has taken over the Ministry of Magic - with Lucius Malfoy at his side - and begins to take control of all wizarding things. This causes an uproar in the wizarding community, because some believe it's only a matter of time before Voldemort takes over completely... but there are others who oppose Voldemort, even if it costs them their livesThis part was obviously very intense. Relationships change and friendships get more intimate. We see Dumbledore and Voldemort go toe-to-toe one last time. At this point we know who will win, but we're still too close for comfort... and it's painful to watch. This is a very bittersweet (and sad) part of the book: the final year at Hogwarts and watching all of your friends grow up while you're still their age. It was only fitting that the movie would do this right, with some added scenes of shots where we can really feel that pain - such as when Hermione tells Ron she's leaving on the train, or when Harry calls Ginny to find out if she'll come visit him in his last year...
