I've been interested in seeing this movie for years now. I kind of have an interest in women with powers- from Medea in Greek mythology to Buffy the vampire slayer and Sabrina the teenage witch. Witch stories can be fun. It's a good movie to see as part of my reviewing of horror and Halloween-themed productions throughout this October.
In this movie, a group of four girls practice witchcraft, but three of them begin taking this too far- they are, I guess you can say, seduced by the dark side of the force. As the fourth girl, Sarah, tries to distance herself from the mess being made, her former-friends turn against her.
Is this movie anti-Wiccan propaganda? The matter is a concern since I have pagan sympathies myself. I don't think the word "Wicca" is used in the movie, unless I missed it, but the girls do practice a similar nature-based spirituality. But the point of this movie doesn't seem to be that magic is bad, just that it's a bad idea to abuse it. Both Sarah and the shop owner seem to be good witches.
In terms of quality this is a mostly good movie. The performances and dialogue are mostly smooth, though the bad girl Nancy overdoes it a little, yelling "He's sorry! when she basically kills Sarah's admirer. Likewise, the nightmare where the three bad witches come through the window is a little over the top. There isn't much characterization beyond that Nancy's bad and Sarah's the newer, learning, more innocent member of the group. On the whole, though, the movie's good fun.

The craft 1996 watch online. The craft shoes. Hi. 1st off I'd just like to start by saying that I am a Wiccan. I wanted to comment on the movie. I'm not here to bad mouth it, but to give it applause. I, being Wiccan, wanted to see this movie to see if indeed it was about Wicca. Well, my conclusion is that it is and it is not. See, in the movie they do portray them as witches but not Wiccans. Wiccan's embrace nature, not evil and unfortunately these ladies do. Therefore, they are not Wiccans. They use "dark" magick. I, like the store owner said, believe that magick comes from within, and if you put your evil intent into it, like Bonnie, Sarah, Rochelle, and Nancy did, then it is going to BE evil. I think the movie was great. It showed how the three fold law works. And it did happen. Every girl got it back somehow or another. So, I thought that aspect was great. I think that it portrays dark magick very well. These girls had power, and they abused it. I really enjoyed the movie all in all. I found it very entertaining. So, like I said, it does not teach or show Wicca it shows dark magick which has nothing to do with the Wiccan religion. I respect this movie also, because it shows what can happen when you mess with power. So, I think I'd give this movie a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. I loved it. Great job.
