Many movies offer cheesy and cheap emotional scenes while forgetting that every emotion needs foundation. Real Steel DID NOT FAIL in any way! Acting is solid while fighting robots scenes are made realistically with, at least basic, laws of physics in mind.
For the emotional part of the movie I must say it really got to me! As much as fighting robots are unreal (yet) the story is more real than it could be! I do not wish to write spoiler so I'll be as brief as possible by saying that this is mostly father-Son movie you have to see!
Reviewers who write that movie is "cheesy" are unaware or to young to know that bond between father and son is something that is real and not movie-makers imagination!
Amazing and true emotions type of movie, entertaining, well casted and directed. 8 is my vote.
