Ps4 only download 1mbps

When I do a speed test on my laptop, ipad, iphone, etc. I get the recommended Speed (mbps download). However testing it on my PS4, PS Vita, I.  · Megabyte = 90 Megabits. Mbps / Mb/s download speed is either you're doing something already in the background that's affecting your HDD / SSD, that be downloading something else at the same time, either your anti virus is scanning as you're downloading, and so on.

Answer (1 of 6): Though the question is quite vague I am going to assume you are talking about the max speed that the PS4 can network at. The PS4 has a fairly good network card in it. It supports the protocol for a full gigabit connection allowing up to Mbps and allows the full speed potenti. Megabyte = 90 Megabits. Mbps / Mb/s download speed is either you're doing something already in the background that's affecting your HDD / SSD, that be downloading something else at the same time, either your anti virus is scanning as you're downloading, and so on. I think the 3G signal had about 8Mbps but it hardly touched my data usage so would have needed less. Latency will have more affect on your gaming experience, so you could improve things by plugging your ps4 into your router, rather than use wifi. But as someone else said, you probs only need about 1Mbps.
