Which was working fine before, suddenly it stopped downloading the files while other browsers was just fine. So i checked my Chrome version and updated it (actually it updated itself) and then downloads returned to normal. Most probably it was/is a Chrome error, it was somehow blocking the downloads. Realdownloader is now working in Google Chrome. If anyone else has this problem in the future, if you have Realplayer cleanup, launch it and run Realdownloader 2, and if they have Virus protection such as Norton , ensure Realdownloader is enabled in the Windows start up options.
