Pdf fails to download in my phone wont
· I opened this page no problem, but still cannot download files. With that disabled, Google Drive will not attempt to open the PDF file as an attachment via data stream. Instead it will download the file into your phone so it will be readable by PDF readers. · PDF Documents Won't Download. When I click on a PDF document, the web site opens up a new tab and puts the PDF in the new tab. From there, I can scroll the PDF and zoom in and out of the PDF. However, Download or View in Preview icons (located bottom center of the page) nothing happens. The file does not download, nor will it open in preview.
I too am experiencing the same problem, I am NOT ABLE TO OPEN PDF FILES (however the same file opens on all iOS and Android device perfectly fine with the same app) on my OnePlus 3 phone (Android version ) and my acrobat reader version is eagerly waiting for guidance to fix this is as soon as possible. I can't download or read Gmail attachments too, I have tried clearing cache, clearing app data, and even reinstalling from play store.. but I still can't get the Gmail app to behave.. the only way I have now is to use Gmail from chrome browser -- which is a slow archaic way!! Thanks Shawn. That’s a good point and I took that into consideration too, but sadly it happens also with KB PDF files, or anyway files whose size is smaller than others’ which open correctly. Further more, if I send the same PDF to gmail or to an on-prem Exchange, it opens. It fails only when it’s on Exchange Online. When I test in Android Chrome, the user sees a "Starting Download " toast and then a Download complete notification is shown in the status bar. The user can touch this notification to open the file in a pdf viewer. In Android's default browser there is no toast and no download file is saved. PDF Documents Won't Download.
