El capitan cant download form app store

However, I've never really been sure my machine IS compatible with El Capitan because my model number is not listed on the compatible list. It's like my model doesn't exist. My 15" 2. All those listed as compatible are s and s. I may have an old Mac that I could download El Capitan to, but am unsure it will work on this machine.

App store downloads are tied to the established Apple ID and machine. As well, the licensing agreement state that the license for OS or apps downloaded from the app store are NOT transferable, so she can't legally download it with her Apple ID and give it to you. So, you can't legally give it to her either unless you downloaded it using her Apple ID and password.

One gotcha is apparently having different IDs for iTunes and the App store, however my Apple ID is the same for both I've not actually purchased anything from iTunes, however it's been upgraded to the latest version.

The other thing was accepting the terms and conditions for iTunes.
