Download youtube tv app to older smart tv
View solution in context. I have a Samsung un55js TV bought in I recently bought YouTube TV. This app is still not available on my smart TV. It is very inconvenient to have to play content on my phone, cast it to my TV, and have to keep my phone on in order to watch TV. Any updates on when this will be ready? Adding my frustration with this issue as a long-time Samsung supporter through the years.
Seriously Samsung, you put Android on all your phones, but not your TV's? Do that and all these issues go away. In my Smarthub there are few options. I am trying to add two apps, specifically YouTubeTV and FuboTV but there doesn't seem to be an option to add apps that are not in the store. There are some other options but nothing I have ever heard of. Is there a way to circumvent this option.
The general rule is, if the app is not available when searching the 'Apps' section of the Smart Hub, then it won't be available for your model of TV we're afraid. Have a look at this useful link. Thanks for the confirmation. I'm struggling to work out how to add the Justwatch app to my 3-year-old smart TV.
However, if the app is missing or you accidentally deleted it, you can always download it from an app store. But before you start the process, make sure that you have an active Samsung account. You can, of course, repeat this process with any other app you want to download to your Samsung TV. And if any of them are accidentally deleted, all you have to do is follow these steps once again.
Also, for faster downloads of Samsung TV apps, you can stay signed in to your Samsung account. It was announced some time ago that the current version of the YouTube app is no longer supported by smart TVs that were made before And that includes Samsung Smart TVs. Not necessarily.
