This show is sooo good. Loved it. The story line was not complicated, easy going and fun. He did a great job with his role. He is a very nice looking young man.
It is so nice to see a fun and pleasant show without all the revenge plotting that goes on in most of the dramas. Congratulations to the writer, the entire production crew and all the actors. This show was so fun to watch, enjoyable and looked forward to each episode. Thought this was a great show. Funny and good cast. Easy going show to watch, no dramatic revenge scenes, nothing like the typical K-drama. I noticed some comments about the weightlifting team with their sizes.
There are not very many people in Korea, or at least from the shows I have seen, that are heavy. Most of them are on the extreme thin size, both men and women.
I can think of two or three at the most. The only thing the writer could have come up with was maybe a different sport where the athletes did not have to be heavy. Bok Joo as a young child was on the plump side. I noticed in the scene where he gave Bok Joo candy in the school room on her desk, and he had such a cute smile on his face when he was watching her eat the candy, his little arms were so thin. Kim Ye Joon is an adorable cute little boy.
It was such a feel-good story with adorable leads that left me with all the feels of being young and being in love. Nam joo hyuk and Lee sung kyung really look good together and upon knowing that they are also close friends in real life, I joined the group of people shipping for them. I found this on the web when you put the drama title in — it shows scenes from his episode. And one behind the scenes which is not subbed. Sorry to see this show end. It was very enjoyable and so funny.
Just a very nice show to watch. I had no expectation when I started watching this. I usually get bored after episodes but I love this drama. Overall the show is great as well as the cast. Actually I cant get over it yet simply because of the chemistry between the lead casts, I fell in love with their character hope the swag couple is real. Hope they will have another team up soon. Congratulations to all! A memory washes over them both — a young, sturdy Bok-ju catches a small Joon-hyung as he falls from what looks like a school rooftop.
They tumble to the ground, then sit up and look at each other. Now Bok-ju looks at Joon-hyung with wide, shocked eyes. He stares back at her, and a slow smile spreads over his face. This was a solid first episode, in the sense that it introduced its characters well, set up the backdrop of the school and its internal politics thoroughly, and gave us plenty of cute and serious moments to get us invested in the characters and their personal struggles.
And I love how invested I am already in the characters, with their big sports dreams yet utterly normal personal lives. But the show puts the kids and their relationships at the forefront, while still letting the sports setting create an interesting backdrop that I actually find pretty interesting. I had to do some research for this one, especially in weightlifting, and I surprised myself by getting pretty engrossed in learning more about it.
That just goes to show how a great cast and endearing characters can make a subject interesting, when done right. And I do think this show is doing it right, even at this early stage. I absolutely loved Jo Soo-hyang as the villain in School — she was chillingly evil, and truly frightening. In conclusion, my first impressions are very good. If it just continues as it started, I think it can hold its own as a lighthearted romance against the backdrop of heavy competition.
Your email address will not be published. Really liked it and already supporting our Bok Joo,i like her a lot Also, how nice is that the hero isin't our usual cold blooded guy that treats everyone badly I really really like when our main trio of girls say their "SWAG",it's so hilarious Those Gymnastic girls with Queen mentality are so annoying Quite curious about the relationship between Bok Joo and her new roommate,it would be quite endering if they really become friends rather than the usual route kdrama loves to toss at us,aka enemies because of a man After watching the sec ep as well i'm fully on boardwith his light fluffy show and really root for Bok Joo,find her endering and adorable.
I could watch an entire spire off series of just the three friends and be completely happy. Hi, guys! While waiting for next episodes every week, I survived by replaying the lovable trio's swag scenarios, really funny and refreshing! I love the feel of the drama - refreshing, lighthearted, nostalgic, totally feel-good with a touch of reality, and a new spice apart from the rampant medical or history dramas. I was really worried they were going to try to bulk Lee Sung-kyung up with prosthetics on her body or face, but they're being really smart about it: emphasizing her height makes her seem like she could be very strong, and the clothes she's wearing are just the right balance between sporty-slouchy and leaving feasible room for more muscle.
That hilarious "aaaammmgh! Small things make a big difference! Thanks for recapping! So far it seems bright and fun, and the escapist candy I need at the moment!
Like you, I'm also impressed with Lee Sung-kyung. I thought she was spunky and interesting in CITT. The way she interacted with the gymnasts in the assembly hall and saved her underclassmen from them about the laundry incident brought a smile to my face, and her friendship with Nan Hee and Seon Ok is just squad goals.
I'm so happy LSK took this role, because I love her character already! Joon Hyung is also pretty fun, too! I will admit that I wasn't fond of his rocky start with Bok Ju it was hilarious, don't get me wrong! I just thought that they knew each other before the end of the episode , but his character was pretty enjoyable, and his relationship with his hoobae is pretty silly no need to throw things at him, though! NJH portrayed him well. I just hope Bok Ju can form a good relationship with her now that they're roommates!
Final thing, though - oh my god! Did Bok Ju literally save a life?! Damn, now I really need to know their history! Come on, episode 2, where are you?
I loved it! It was fluffy and funny. I am excited that Nam Joo Hyuk is the lead for this. He is different than the past actors I have seen. I really wish they'd defied the norm and cast an actress with more weight, but Lee Sung Kyung is doing great in the role. Her little trio of friends is so cute. Just finished watching the first episode and it really went fast, I was enjoying it so much that I didn't want it to finish. Bok-ju and her friends are the cutest, I loved how they tried to cheer her up with the weightlifting fairy chant and dance and I like Nam Joo-hyuk in this so I'll be sticking to this!
Loved all the characters prima facie. Hopefully this is as heartwarming and sweet a ride it promises to be! Kudos to the actress, the last time i saw her was as InHa in CITT, pand what an unbelievable transformation for such a pretty lady this is.. I really enjoyed this first episode and look forward to how this drama unfolds. I hate that it airs in the same time slot as Legend of the Blue Sea, as the ratings will likely be lower than what they might have been without such a giant as competition assuming that Legend lives up to the hype.
But I will continue to watch both online if they stay true to their interesting and fun beginnings. I read somewhere back in the School days that Nam Joo-hyuk used to swim back in his actual school days, so playing a swimmer wasn't as hard for him as another sport word have been. So brace yourself, he might end up as the go-to guy for every script that calls for a swimmer, because he can actually do it : especially the turns -- the woods are full of guys who can "swim" but can't turn like a competetive swimmer.
He plays basketball though. The only thing that annoyed me this ep other than SooBin, obviously is Nam JooHyuk's terrible swimming form.
His character is supposed to be the best! Where is his trainer????? But JooHyuk should always do puppy like roles. Him in Three Meals a Day in Gochang isn't helping in spoiling that belief. Because I don't know that much about sports swimming or weightlifting those aspects won't bother me too much so good for the clueless I guess??? I'm that way with equestrian scenes. Everytime I see a close-up of someone on "horseback", I giggle.
It doesn't look like that! Then I sigh and move on. That's pretty bad considering this is the second time he's played a swimmer the first being in School Thank you for the recap. I haven't watched ep 1, because. I watched Legend of the Blue Sea instead, however after reading the recap, I'll give it a shot! I weightlift for fitness, but I don'the compete. I like that she at least has some legs and booty even if it's possibly padding. Also she's competing in the lb weight class and being 5'9" in real-life, the weight does make sense.
I still find it hard to believe that she could do lb snatches though with her tiny arms and compete with heftier girls in her weight class. I remember the actress mentioned that she only had 15 days between the start of filming and her last drama. Can't really fault her for failing to build up muscle. It's such a cute show, and I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm a black belt holder in martial arts and so I've a bit of an idea that the actress can't really afford to grow muscles as they loosen up later when she doesn't do weights anymore and then its really hard to retain her old form which is lean.
So, its better this way. I am so excited for this drama!!! I love the storyline and am already invested in these adorable characters. However, is anyone else having trouble believing Lee Sung-kyung as a weightlifter? I love her take on the character, but she looks so small under that barbell!! I really wish she tried to gain more weight for the part, or more prosthetics idk.
She was so skinny before and with the new weight she just looks
