Android wont download pictures from internet
Let's see the reasons for the searched topic "I can't send pictures through text on my Android" -. Sometimes people live in such a place where the network connection is very weak. In that case, MMS can't be delivered. Message cache and data is also responsible for this problem. Sometimes it interrupts the messaging functions and you are not able to send or receive MMS.
Some major software problems are also responsible for this problem. They disable various functions and people sometimes face this problem. In that case, you have to create or modify the APN settings. The first thing you have to check is your mobile network connection. The MMS function requires an active cellular data connection. Without the data connection, you can't attach the picture to text message Android. To check if the cellular data is enabled or not, you need to go to the settings option.
Then go to "Wireless and Network Settings" and tap the "Mobile Networks" and enable it by tapping, if the data is already on, you don't need to tap. Now you can take an attempt to send MMS. There is another factor about MMS. MMS functions do not run well without the provider's network. Try to back in the provider's network and attempt again if you are unable to send MMS.
People often face this problem and think wrong. Sometimes you are connected to the cellular data but you are unable to send MMS.
A weak network can be the reason that the problem appeared. In this case, first, check out the network bars. If there are 5 bars the network is strong.
Generally, this strong and weak network varies from the area. Awesome PC Accessories. Best Linux Laptops. Best Bluetooth Trackers. Best eReaders. Best Gaming Monitors. Best Android Phones. Hide Private Photos on iPhone. Likewise, you should also configure the app to use unrestricted data when Data Saver is on. Now, toggle on both Background data and 'Unrestricted data usage'. If your Android smartphone won't send picture messages, it could be due to a cache-related problem with the messaging app. You should clear the app's cache and check if it fixes the error.
If it doesn't, proceed to clear the app's data. Your Android could fail to multimedia messages if there's a bug in the Messages app. Since app updates usually come with bug fixes, you should update your device's Messages app if you aren't using the latest version. Tap the Update button on the Messages app page to update the app.
Your Android device could have a problem sending multimedia messages if your device's network settings aren't configured properly. To fix this, reset your phone's network settings. Tap the Reset Settings button to proceed. Note that this will erase all previously-configured preferences made to your device's cellular data, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Refer our guide to know what happens when you reset network settings on Android. I hope that answers your question. If you need to make sure that the internet on your cell phone is being pulled through your new wireless network then you can go into your phones settings and turn off the mobile data option, and then try to access the internet on your phone.
Many ISPs can access their routers and adjust settings if needed. I used static Ip address technique and it worked. From what you mentioned in your description, being able to connect to other Wi-Fi networks with no problem but having issues connecting to a specific wireless network, being able to connect to the network with a static IP address but no internet access, even that other cell phones your dads can connect and work properly but yours does not, is sounding more and more like a problem on the network as opposed to an issue on your Samsung.
If you have not already reviewed the advanced troubleshooting guide mentioned at the end of this article then I highly recommend that you do so as it lists suggestions of possible causes that you can check on your wireless network to get your particular issue resolved. Check out that advanced troubleshooting guide as I think it will help provide you with the solution to your Wi-Fi problem. Just let me know what you tried and we can go from there.
I think it will help though so let me know one way or the other. Good luck and if you have any more questions make sure to let me know and ill see what I can do. Now my problem.
The strange thing is that only the previous wi-fi networks used by me have the problem. New networks work perfectly. Anyway, thanks for the post and explainings.
Now I understand a little bit more about how wi-fi work…. When you hard reset your phone it would have cleared all the catches as a reset clears just about everything off of the phone and puts it back to like new condition; like new concerning the data and software anyways.
Make sure to enter the password correctly. And see if that allows it to connect. Such as MAC address filtering. If it was an issue on the phone then a hard reset would have wiped that issue out, and since your phone connects to other networks perfectly, its sounding more and more wireless network related then phone related.
If you would like some advice on network troubleshooting then make sure to review that advanced troubleshooting guide mentioned at the end of this article. It should get you pointed in the right direction.
I am glad it worked. Thank you for coming back and letting me know. Enjoy your working Wi-Fi my friend. So the problem I have here is that…if I ever open a opened wifi then it cinnects of coase. But after a while it tells to sign in. For example if I am outside my home like a park or mall and the wifi is open then I decude to connect it but after a while it tells to sign in to it.
I have samsung s3. I am only 11 so I dont know much about this. I told my dad about it and he says he diesent knows wats happening. I am really fed up by this. I dont wanna reset my phone too. If there is a solution. Please give me. So I tried manually turning off the Wi-Fi, then turning on airplane mode, then turned Wi-Fi back on again. After turning airplane mode back off, it worked like a charm! Again, thanks so much!
That was starting to become a really annoying problem! Wifi is connected although nothing acts as if it is Ive got a samsung galaxy S2 and my phone is saying that its connected but my social media sites are acting as if there is no internet connection. Any advice? So your phones connected to Wi-Fi but your social media sites are acting up… Are you able to open a web browser and do a search online? Does your phone let you visit these sites through your mobile data connection?
How are you accessing these sites? Is it through an app or your internet browser? Is the internet on your Samsung Galaxy S2 working at all?
There can be a few reasons why this is happening but I might need more information to narrow it down and provide you with the best solution. Have you done any troubleshooting yet and if so what have you done to try and fix it? If your still having issues accessing your social media sites then post a reply listing some more information about how your phone is acting, at the very least some answers to the questions listed above, as it should help me narrow down possible causes and better yet allow me to provide you with the best possible resolution.
Connecting to Wi-Fi but having no internet is often an issue with the wireless access point like a wireless modem or wireless router. If your cell phone will not show any wireless networks after scanning even public networks or networks that you know to be working then it might be a hardware issue, like a loose Wi-Fi antenna. For good measure make sure to try the suggestions listed above including the factory data reset.
Sounds like the APN settings on your phone need to be looked at and most likely need to be re-configured or Reset to default. It should get your messaging to work properly again and is usually a pretty quick fix. The steps involved in correcting or resetting your APN setting are going to depend on what phone you have, what version of Android your phone is running on and who your wireless provider is.
I am not sure what you are currently using so I cannot give you the proper instructions myself but a quick search online should give you exactly what you need and allow you to get your messaging to work properly again in a matter of minutes. If you have any issues finding it online then just give your service provider a call and they can give you step by step instructions as well as provide you with the configuration settings for their specific network.
I use an Xbox, Samsung My wife has the same phone and we both have the same issues. It just sits there and searches. We had a Linksys N and went to a Netgear N, same problem. Two different cell phones the same make and model are both stuck searching for and not finding the network and both phones did the same thing with two different routers.
Look for any apps that the two of you might both have on your cell phones third party apps that you downloaded, not default apps that come on the phone and if you do have some custom apps in common then try uninstalling it from one of the phones, restarting the phone, and then trying to connect to the Wi-Fi again. If removing the apps fixes one phone then try removing it on the other phone as well and enjoy.
If unsuccessful then make sure to try the suggestions in the article above if you have not done so already and of course the Advanced Wi-Fi troubleshooting guide I mentioned earlier. Just in case someone else experiences the same issue it can help them to resolve it.
But when i go to school, my phone can connect on their wifi so only in our home wifi didnt.. It sounds like your home network is preventing your phone from connecting to it for some reason. Check out this advanced Wi-Fi troubleshooting guide for some suggestions as to what setting s to check or adjust on your home network to try and overcome this issue.
Wifi stops working when turning on android tv box. I have just connected an mx android box to my tv, and it does not connect to the Internet. This is the same whether I connect wirelessly or via Ethernet. But the bigger problem is that as soon as I turn on the bow I lose wifi connection to my phone and to my sons Xbox live. This is the case whether I connect the box with Ethernet or wifi. Can you please help as I am getting grief left right and centre. I am a big fan of Android and Android gadgets but I have not had the opportunity to use, much less troubleshoot one of those devices yet.
Perhaps your home network has to be configured in order to connect your Mx Android box to the internet. Good luck to you, and if you do find out what it was, like a bad setting or something, then please come back to let me know. You got me interested and I am sure that someone else might stumble upon the same issue and your solution might just be the answer that they are looking for.
That is a little odd. Most likely the issue is on your networks end. I think that might help. Oh and make sure that your Gmail account is setup as well. If your STILL having issues then let me know what phone you are having problems with, the troubleshooting that you have already done to try and fix the issue, and as much information about your issue and your network as you can as it will help me narrow down the possible causes so that I can provide you with the best possible solution s.
I think that the rebooting should help though. Could anyone possibly help me. I am perfectly able to connect to a Wi-Fi anywhere but at home. Then right after showing that message the phone stops trying to connect. Now the irritating part is that the Wi-Fi works for computers! I have some great news, it sounds like your phone is working perfectly.
Especially if it can connect to other networks with no problem and only has issues with your home Wi-Fi. I hope that helps. If you have any more questions than just let me know and I will do what I can to try and help. How can i fix this problem? Recently download speed is around 40 kbps. Please help. WiFi I have been blocked, or unable to gain access, from WiFi at work for some time.
Thank you so much, I am once again able to connect and feel more at ease regarding my personal situation. Man, thank u so much. Nothing worked for me and I have spent weeks in fixing the problem but u did it for me. Just installed the wifix and yepey, got superman in my hands, net working beautifully now.
If I manually add the home network, the wifi works correctly. I used to be able to go out and it would roll over to data and when I returned home, it would reconnect to the wifi by itself. I am currently running Andriod 4. This is beginning to bother me. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Robert. It definitely sounds like a software issue but hard to tell what is causing it for sure.
Have you downloaded any third party applications from the Play Store around the time that this started happening? Do a quick test to try and rule out an app as the culprit. Try booting your Skyrocket into safe mode then stepping out of range of your home Wi-Fi, you may have to walk into your front yard or even down the road a little bit depending on how strong your wireless signal is, but after your out of range of your home Wi-Fi wait about a minute and then try to walk back in range of it to see if it connects properly in Safe Mode.
Hopefully that will solve the problem and get your cell phone to reconnect itself properly to your home Wi-Fi. If not then you might want to consider doing a hard reset if you have not done so already. From your description it sounds like a software problem so a hard reset should fix it.
Samsung Galaxy 3 internet issue I have read all posts related and it seems I am having the same problem as others. The only way I can maintain an internet connection at home is if my phone is set on Airplane Mode.
I have only had the phone for approximately three weeks so I am not sure if I was using my data plan the entire time or not. I did unplug and restart my router. I am not sure what to do because I cant keep it on Airplane Mode for the obvious reasons of not receiving messages and phone calls.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It seems to me, as a novice, that the more technology we have the further we fall behind…lol. Try not to regret getting an Android smartphone either.
This can happen on any type of smartphone not just Android. As far as your technology observation… I can see where you are coming from. Technology is great again, when it works correctly and the more features and the more technology that gets added to our smartphones and other smart devices it seems to amount to more things that can go wrong with them.
Wi-Fi issues, power issues, and service related issues are three of the most difficult problem to try and solve on our smartphones because there can be so many reasons and so many causes as to why they are not working properly. So when I write a guide on how to try and resolve these issues I try to include as many different solutions that I can think of in order to come to the proper resolution to get the phone working again.
I can see that you have done a lot of the suggestions already including the airplane mode trick which I suppose is more of a band-aid then an actual fix , unplugging and restarted the router for your home Wi-Fi, and have tried to forget and re-enter the correct login information as well.
Does your phone have any issues staying connected to other Wi-Fi connections as well? Or is it just at home? The phone will reboot into safe mode, and will run without any third party apps.
To exit safe mode all you have to do is restart the phone, just power it off and on. Out of curiosity did you try a backup and reset yet? What version of Android is your S3 running on? Are there any other troubleshooting steps that you have tried? Try connecting to other Wi-Fi networks though and let me know if it has problems with them as well.
I look forward to a response Sharon; hopefully we can find the reason as quickly as possible. If you wanted to access the internet when away from a Wi-Fi you would have to turn it back on of course but the option is available should you choose to use it. However I previously had an IPhone and had no issues with connecting. Access your phones Settings , make sure that the Connections tab at the top is the tab selected, and then tap on the Wi-Fi option, tap on the Menu key bottom left of phone next to the Home key and then tap on Advanced.
On that screen there should be an option that says Check for Internet service — Auto switch between Wi-Fi networks and mobile networks. Make sure to uncheck that option if it has a check mark by it. If not then let me know and I will give you some more advice that could help, but I have a feeling that that is the most likely cause and it should be the quickest and easiest fix available.
I was reading some of the earlier questions and solutions. I actually had to turn airplane mode on to get it to connect. I tried changing password, name and everything, but this guide was good enough to help me out. Turned aeroplane mode on and then off again, suddenly it started working again. Just a simple problem solved in 3 minutes. Got a fix? I bought a HTC One android 4. This was strange because I was using it the whole day and it was perfectly fine. Then when I checked whats wrong, the wifi displays an error.
At least for hours, its stuck at Turning on. Then again it displays the error message. I tried restarting the phone, I did a cache clean up and even did a full factory reset. Its still the same. I still cannot on my wifi. I actually have another guide for that exact issue.
I charged it for hours on the wall charger and the laptop but its not charging or even switching on. Has the phone experienced any damage recently? Sorry to be the barrier of bad news my friend. Definitely look into your warranty options first, if your phone is still covered, as warranty is often the most affordable option available when getting a phone repaired or replaced. Oh thats bad. I purchased it Oh thats bad. I purchased it from Australia while on a holiday.
I currently live in Sri Lanka. I have been informed that there are no authorised service centres here. Does it mean I have to go back to Australia to fix it?
Thanks for the info. How can I fix this? Thank you for the response. Can anyone help please? Missed a really important Skype call yesterday. I usually get diconnected to wifi on my S4 device I use Samsung S4, i observe that, i usually get disconnected to internet.
Your advice on which android app to use helped Thank you for this article. The app you recommended instantly solved my problem. I nearly bought a new phone because of this issue. I have to turn off my phone and remove the battery so i can turn my WIFI on.
I actually have a troubleshooting guide for that exact issue. Thanks Thanks James, for this and all the other info you have on your site. But how do you do this? What kind of devices are you trying to connect to each other? Let me know and I will see what I can do to help.
I love helping awesome people like yourself. I got a 16G card as you suggested backed up easily. I did the reset and tried the portable wifi I wanted to sync with but it already had the password..??? Somehow it must have got it from google that I was invited to rejoin when I did the reset, or from the card, so I took out the SD card and reset again and refused to join google; this time I was able to put in the password and link up fine.
The restore of data and apps went well, with only one app not restoring. WiFi connected internet works, but issues in WhatsApp n facebook Hello, I am having issues with my dlink Dir router on my android nexus4.
Internet works fine but apps like Facebook n WhatsApp have issues. My internet connection is dynamic. Ios n windows phone works fine. Do you have any issues when connected to another Wi-Fi network or just on your home Wi-Fi? From your description its sounding more like an app s issue as opposed to a problem with your Wi-Fi or even your Nexus. The first thing that I would do is to double check and to make sure that your apps are up to date. If you use these apps frequently, which is common with social networking apps, then things can pile up quickly as well.
Try going into your Application Manager, clicking on these two apps and clearing the cache. Also try logging out and then logging back into the accounts on those apps. See if it helps at all. How often do you power off your device? Galaxy Note 2 will connect wifi and I can use the internet but..
The email app with the phone itself still works though and so I can receive emails sent to my gmail through my phone app, but not through the gmail app. Thank you! Tried everything else, found this page and airplane mode worked a gem. Bookmarking it for future connection fails. When i try to turn on wifi is greyed out and says turning on…… but nothing happens i reboot it and it still happens. It could be software related something like a bug or a virus or maybe even just a bad app but it could also be a hardware issue as well, like a bad antenna.
Hopefully its software related as that will be an easier problem to solve. Either way those articles should get you pointed in the right direction. I have never been able to use any Wi-Fi network on any of those phones. Not even a public Wi-Fi like a coffee shop or a restaurant?
What Samsung phone do you currently own? A few things can cause a phone to connect to a Wi-Fi network but still not have internet, it really depends. Has your cell phone ever been able to connect to internet through Wi-Fi before?
I assume your mobile internet is working properly? Do you get any error messages if you turn off your mobile data and try to connect through a Wi-Fi? Were you able to do any of the troubleshooting listed in this article above or any of the tips in the advanced troubleshooting guide yet?
Technology can be pretty stubborn sometimes, and every now and then smartphones like to think that they are smarter than we are. Thank you so much for your great advice Thank you so much for your great advice, so thorough and helpful xoxo. WIFI still not working i have done all of these and its still not working. Which cell phone are you trying to connect to Wi-Fi with and what exactly is the phone doing when you try to establish a connection?
Either way let me know Gabrielle. Connected to WiFi but no Internet I just want to share. This may help. Try to check your date and time settings. Put it up to the current date and time. Then try to reconnect to WiFi. Obtainig ip address So how do you install the program if you dont have internet on your phone?
Not sure if you still Not sure if you still checking this but I figured I would give it a shot. A few months ago my Samsung S4 stopped using my wifi at home. It says its connected but then says something about something being blocked because it is trying to access my phone without authorization and I should update security settings. This first started happening after an update at the end of March.
The phone had no problems connecting before that. So it says I am connected but then there is no actual internet. The wifi works in other places like at the bookstore and stuff so I assume its not a problem with the phone.
I have to guess that the security message that pops up has to have something to do with it but ive updated all my security settings and there is no new app on my phone that wasnt there when it did work before. My laptop connects fine with the wifi BUT my kindle has recently stopped connecting to it as well.
With this in mind I tried Comcast but they arent any help. We have reset my network, tried manually adding the MAC addresses to the network and it still wont work. Phone still says it connects but has no internet and the kindle seems to just hate. Of course the phone and kindle people are telling me to deal with Comcast but comcast cant find a problem at all since i have a desktop and laptop connecting through the wireless with no problem and both of the small devices USED to work but dont anymore.
Any ideas at this point would be great. I would really like to stop using my data plan on the phone lol. This problem is really annoying me. The desktop is wired directly into the hub and work perfectly, The Laptop and Tablet will connect to the internet on the WiFi but they both will not let me login into websites that require a username and password.
The mobile phones work perfectly on the WiFi network. If I use one of the Android phones as a hotspot I can connect to it on my Laptop and it lets me use websites that require a username and password. I have already swapped out the Hub for another and the fault remains, I have cleared cookies cache memory on all devices and the fault remains.
Any ideas? Thanks so much! Sorry to hear that your cell phone is having problems connecting to Wi-Fi.
