Another mod Skyrim players may find somewhat familiar, Immersive Weapons adds an absolute trove of interesting new weaponry to the game. The scope of this mod is frankly enormous — authors Scot and WalkerInShadows have poured a ton of time and love into Better Dungeons and it shows. Each changed dungeon has a few more layers than its base game counterpart, so look out for those secrets! Deadly Reflex adds some needed strategic depth to Oblivion's combat, adding a set of new maneuvers and attacks to your arsenal.

With Deadly Reflex installed you'll be able to dodge incoming attacks, stun your opponents and even finish them off with a well timed impale move.

Your opponents have the same abilities, too, of course, making fights tactical and tense affairs. Combat now looks and feels more visceral, too.

Critical hits result in pleasingly ludicrous death animations and the new, Sam Fisher-esque stealth kills will see you snapping necks and slitting throats with brutal exuberance. It comes in several different forms to suit different PC specs, so don't pick one your machine can handle. Even the lower-res versions are a big improvement, but the largest ones transform Cyrodiil completely, filling the world with intricate detail. Sick of only being able to see five items at a time in a list?

Irritated by the gigantic fonts and clunky interface? Darnified UI completely redesigns Oblivion's user interface, renovating every menu screen to make it work properly on your monitor. It also replaces the world map with a beautiful, high-detail colour version. It's not a major overhaul, but it makes everything slicker and easier to use.

A cool mod for players looking for a more charming, immersive, and cosy experience. You also get the option to choose between five different lights. Download Lights of Oblivion — Road Lanterns. What this means is that all NPCs and creatures have their stats and characteristics randomized. Everything from size to combat stats, confidence, combat fighting styles, range customization, and more are randomly selected between a set range.

It also adds a large number of new creatures, monsters, and enemies. Your fights will never get stale again with this mod! A very handy UI overhaul mod that makes the UI less squashed and zoomed-in and more user friendly. It makes the font smaller, allowing more to be fit on the screen, and, as you can see in the image above, it redesigns the layout and structure of the UI.

It may look intimidating, but it makes for a much more user friendly experience once you get used to it. It also adjusts the font and size of the subtitles. Download Darnified UI. Deadly Reflex is a mod that aims to add some much-needed depth and strategic layering to the combat of Oblivion. No longer will you simply be swinging and slashing in the general direction of your enemies.

It adds a number of new moves and abilities you can use in combat, such as a dodge, the ability to stun enemies, and a well-timed finisher move. There are also some pretty brutal stealth kill animations. Download Deadly Reflex. To remedy this situation, players can download one of the best mods for Oblivion called the Beautiful People mod. It enhances the faces of everyone in Oblivion to make them less of an eyesore, with some faces actually being a treat to look too!

The first thing that most people would notice about Oblivion is the fact that the UI of the game is extremely ugly and really hard to ignore at times. This UI was integrated in order to make it easier for console players to try out the game, but PC players ended up getting the short end of the stick as a result. Thankfully, modders have identified this issue and fixed it in the best possible manner.

DarNified UI reduces the size of most of the horrendous UI elements, making for an excellent interface along with an updated HUD that doesn't feel all that intrusive either. The manner in which people started off their game in Morrowind was so engrossing that people wanted to start off their Oblivion game in the same manner as well.

This can be achieved in this Alternate Start mod. With this mod, players can now start off on a ship — albeit without being a prisoner — and fill out immigration forms to define their character race , class, and everything else along the same lines. It's a unique mod that manages to freshen up the intro of Oblivion without breaking immersion either. The environments of Oblivion might be gorgeous in their own right, but they can't help but show their age.

In a bid to improve these locales, the Natural Environments mod can prove to be quite a boon. This mod ends up augmenting and modernizing the look of Oblivion to quite an extent. It adds new weather effects, makes the water of the game less ugly, improves the celestial effects in the game, and also ends up adding ambient insects to uplift the game's atmosphere as well!

While Oblivion might be a blast to explore, some of the caves in the game feel extremely drab and boring in comparison to the rest of the title's exploratory opportunities. With the Better Dungeons mod , this irksome trait of the game will become a thing of the past.
